SportsForce Touch Development Officer
(Six month fixed term contract – maternity cover)

Sport Waikato, in partnership with the Waikato Touch Association is looking for an innovative, highly organised person with a passion for Touch to fill the role of SportsForce Touch Development Officer.

The SportsForce Touch Development Officer will be required to provide leadership, strategy and support to school and community Touch development.

The person we seek will have:
• initiative, enthusiasm and a passion for sport, especially Touch
• knowledge of the sport and leisure industry and an understanding of the needs of community and school sport
• empathy for sporting volunteers and for sport at grassroots level
• excellent communication, networking and presentation skills
• outstanding organisational and administrative skills

The SportsForce Touch Development Officer will be employed by Sport Waikato on behalf of the Waikato Touch Association and be an important member of the SportsForce team.

This position requires regular evening and weekend work and will be suitable for someone who enjoys working with a variety of people and wants to contribute positively to young people.
