Healthy eating

Team Energize work to educate, inform and support schools and their communities to eat healthily. This can be done through nutrition education sessions, projects, resources, policies and initiatives such as gardening and cooking programmes.

Our key goals are to improve the quality of food brought to school from home, promote and encourage water and milk as best our first choice drinks, make breakfast a healthy everyday habit and increase the consumption of fruit and vegetables.

Energize follows the New Zealand Ministry of Health Food and Nutrition Guidelines for Healthy Children and Young People (Aged 2 –18 years). For more on the guidelines click here.
