Bio
Hi my name is Jack Clayton and I have been in the Sportsforce Hockey role since March 2008. I have been involved in Hockey since 1973 as a player, coach, manager, selector, committee member and club president.
Since returning to Hamilton in October 2001 I have played for the Fraser Tech Premier hockey team and the Waikato Masters team as a defender. I played my first game of premier hockey for Fraser Tech in 1979 while still attending Fraser High School. After joining the Air Force a year later as an apprentice motor mechanic I played most of his hockey in North Harbour and Canterbury and have attended 13 national tournaments as an Air Force hockey player. I have represented Waikato as a player at various levels over the years and also played for the New Zealand Combined Services team. During my 22 year Air Force career I was a vehicle mechanic, a workshop manager, a training manager, a recruiting officer and finally the maintenance & office manager at the Air Force Museum in Christchurch.
I am employed by Waikato Hockey but my home is Brian Perry Sports House. My role is to develop hockey in the region and a large part of that is achieved by coach education. If you need a hand up or access to coaching resources please contact me and we can discuss the many possibilities available to you.
