Waitomo Walking Tracks
Te Kuiti River/Town Walk
From shearing statue (south end of town) stroll along the river bank for 15 to 20 min and come out at the TeKuiti camping ground. Pathway suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs but will need support. Mangaokewa Viaduct Walk
Situated 5 min walk from town just of highway to Bennydale in the beautiful peaceful and well kept Mangaokewa Reserve picnic and native bush area.the walk starts with an exciting but non threating traverse of a gentle swing bridge then you're in the bush on a cleared and safe, dry track. Pureora Forest ParkA variety of tracks in the park provide a range of walking opportunities for family groups to experienced trampers and hunters. The Totara, Rimu and Waihora Lagoon walks are suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. Some of the old logging tracks are suitable for off-road vehicles and mountain bikes, although access is restricted in some cases. Be warned, weather conditions can change quickly.
